ICYMI, I recently moved from Raleigh, North Carolina to Denver, Colorado for a major change of scenery. I still consider myself a Denver newbie who has only scratched the surface of what this city has to offer. But in just three months time, I’ve experienced a few Denver must-sees and hidden gems alike. If you’re planning on visiting Denver, Colorado in the future, check out these Denver tips!
No concert ticket needed for this one! Pay a visit to Red Rocks Ampitheater at sunset for a spectacular view. Climb the staircase to the left of the stage to see the Denver city skyline in the distance.
Thanks to an Instagram ad, I saw that internationally-known Candelight Concerts are in Denver. This particular show was in a stunning yet surprising setting – the Wings Over the Rockies Museum.
This popular walking spot has views of both downtown Denver and the mountains! If you’re walking during the winter, be sure to bundle up. It gets windy!
Food hall lovers, rejoice! Stanley Marketplace is stacked with a variety of food vendors, boutique shops, and breweries. Bring your wallet and support local!
One of the most Instagrammable coffee shops I have seen in Denver so far, Hudson Hill turns into a cocktail bar after dark.
Do not, I repeat do not, leave Denver, Colorado without feasting on a breakfast burrito. You can find them at just about any coffee shop or breakfast spot. My favorites are from Santiago’s and El Taco de Mexico in the Santa Fe Arts District.
This secret bar is a little tricky to find, but it’s so worth the slight confusion. Awesome decor in a tucked-away spot with fresh margaritas, what more can you ask for?
Okay, I guess this doesn’t count as something to do in Denver. But a day trip to Golden, Colorado is well worth it! Just 20 minutes from downtown Denver, Golden feels like a step back in time with country stores, Western boutiques, and mountain views.
Post-brunch shopping on Broadway has become a bit of a Saturday ritual, and there’s always somewhere funky and new to explore. Get lost in the vintage shops, bookstores, and live music venues.
Hope that helps you plan your next trip to Denver, Colorado! Tag me in your posts so I can see your adventures.
